I was in AC for Xmas. Early the next morning I was at a table with about five players including myself. I was shootng fro m SR1. When I got to the table there was one player at SR2 and everyone else on the left side of the table. When I got the dice I started rolling well and was up to my 12th roll, when the player at SR2 started complaining to the box that his $1 bet on the hard eight wasn't paid. I never hit a hard 8. I could smell alcolhol on his breath, because he got too close and even bumped me once as I continued to shoot. The box and pit warned him to stop complaining. They made their ruling. From rolls 13 to 16 he still whined. While I can tune out most things, he was getting to be increasingly a pain. He was told by the pit that he was going to be removed, but that did not stgop him from whining about not being paid his $1 hard nonexistent eight. By roll 16, I lost concentration and sevened out. If he was way down on the left, I probably would have hit him with the dice. But, he was where he was and I did not know what to do. I could have passed the dice, but I was doing so well.

Once you started paying attention to the other guy, you're out of your zone. In that instance, I usually turn off all my bets and take the odds down, leaving just the passline bet and continue to throw.

If the guy is gone by the next time I throw, I'd play on. Assuming you want to. If he's still there, find another table or just take a break.

I have even been known to give the person the money they think they deserve, especially if it is a $1 bet but that won't work with everyone so you have to gauge if you think it is worth a try or if they just want to complain. I am also a lady so maybe if I was a guy and tried this same thing with another guy it might not turn out as well.

When I did this the guy was complaining about the very same thing. A $1 hard ten that he wasn't paid for--I think it was from when he was rolling. I gave him the money and even threw out a dollar to put him "back up" on the hard ten and then said "let's see if we can hit that again for you!" He was then my best friend and cheer squad although I don't think I ever threw the hard ten. I did have a money making roll though!

I would say definitely call your bets off for a roll or two to see if you have mastered the aggravation or as you said pass the dice and walk to another more "Advantage" table.

I don't think anyone can add much to the answers you got on your post. Call the bets off and/or take them down and take a few "practice" rolls with little exposure. Sometimes I want to tell at him "you stupid %$#*& you are screwing everyone up." But I bite my tongue. I am not a fighter but a lover---I wish!!!

Don't try and be super human and think you can always get by these things. We are all simply human and they will get under your skin and get you out of your zone. Move on. Unfortunately it is part of the game that we have to put up with if we want to play. And we do want to play.

We see that stuff often up here at the small casinos. Some one comes up and stops
the game completely to cash in $20 and loses it the first hand, or $6 and on
and on.

We have to understand we cant change others, we adjust or we leave.

What has helped me alot is the understanding that they have as much right to be there as i do.
They may not take it as serious as i do, but they dont have to, they can take it anyway
they want. I figure sometimes they stand and watch me and wonder why in the hell does he take
all that time to set the dice throw them the same and get a 7 anyway....

In One of the old possitive thinking books we used to be told to read said that you need
to change how we handle that stuff, instead of saying i was p...off by that, we were to
say we were fascinated......

I have been facinated alot!!!!!!!!! :D :D

Dr C-with my personality, I don't walk away very easily. I have never pulled my bets. Maybe, if a member of the crew was giving me a problem I would. Paying the bet myself would possibly make him my pal. The last thing that I wanted. I don't like being pushed into leaving when I am shooting well.

I remember once when Mr Finesse was on this long roll and a guy complained that he didn't get paid on a hard something. I threw the guy a $25 ship and told him to pipe down!
