Why Train in Atlantic City

The East Coast's craps capital.

Nine casinos on one boardwalk, within an hour and a half of fifty million people. AC is where East Coast students learn the throw and walk it straight onto some of the busiest craps pits in the country.

I.

Drive-in distance for the East Coast.

Two hours from New York, one from Philadelphia, three from DC and Baltimore. No flight required β€” half the October class drives in.

II.

Nine casinos, one boardwalk.

Borgata, Ocean, Hard Rock, Caesars, Tropicana β€” all minutes apart. Practice your new throw on a different pit every night of the seminar weekend.

III.

GTC's oldest East Coast home.

Golden Touch has taught Atlantic City seminars since the early days of the program. The fall AC class is a tradition β€” and it fills.

Travel Information

Getting here, getting around.

Most AC students drive. If you fly, Philadelphia is the practical gateway with Atlantic City International as the close-in option.

Flight & transit.

Atlantic City International (ACY) is 20 minutes out with limited routes; Philadelphia (PHL) has every major carrier and is about 70 minutes by car.

  • Driving Most students drive β€” Atlantic City Expressway from Philly, Garden State Parkway from north Jersey/NY.
  • Airport Atlantic City International (ACY) β€” 20 min, limited (Spirit-heavy) routes.
  • Major hub Philadelphia (PHL) β€” all major carriers, ~70 min by car or shuttle.
  • Parking Casino self-parking typically $10–25/day; most hotels validate for guests.
Tip: October weekends can sell out casino hotels when events hit town β€” lock your room the same week you book the seminar.

Lodging.

No hotel block. Stay on the Boardwalk or in the Marina district β€” both work; registered students get the venue-adjacent shortlist.

  • Marina Borgata / Water Club β€” the benchmark AC stay, $150–300/night in October.
  • Boardwalk Ocean, Hard Rock, Caesars β€” $120–250/night, tables downstairs.
  • Value Tropicana and Bally's often run October deals under $120/night.
  • Quiet option Non-casino hotels a block off the Boardwalk if you want sleep over slots.
Tip: Book refundable rates until your seminar seat is confirmed.

β—† Seminar Graduate
"What a craps story you helped me with last night at Harrah's AC. Your 5-count helped me preserve my rack, I made 9 passes and hit the fire bet for 5 numbers β€” the table was so crazy happy a crowd had formed. Thanks for getting me to become a more developed thrower and player!"

"Intense two days. Great job! The course is well organized and very professional β€” easy-to-read textbooks, hands-on work, a real casino environment simulation, and a wealth of knowledge to bring home. I recommend this course to all serious players."

"The seminar I took this weekend was one of the best training seminars I ever took. There was never a dull minute. Every one of us got personal training from instructors with an attitude like they want us to be as good as them."

Atlantic City Seminar FAQ

Common Atlantic City questions.

Specific to the Atlantic City seminars. For general dice control questions, see the main FAQ.

Where is the AC venue?

+
A private Atlantic City-area teaching facility β€” the exact address goes to registered students about 10 days before the class.

Do I need to fly?

+
Probably not β€” most October students drive in from NY, NJ, PA, and DE. If you're flying, Philadelphia (PHL) is the practical choice with a ~70 minute drive or shuttle to AC.

Which casino should I practice at after class?

+
You'll have nine to choose from. Ask the instructors at class β€” table conditions change, and they'll know which pits are running the best that weekend.
