I was in AC this past week. After roaming around, I went to a casino and saw that my spot at SR1 was open. There was a player at SR3 with his chips on the rail in front of him. I put my money and player's card down on the table. Mr. SR3 started to yell at me that he was shooting from there. The crew told him that he could not have the whole area. He continued to yell at me. I told the dealer to give me my money back (it was still on the table) and my player's card. I walked down to the end of the table and watch as Mr. SR3 crapped out in three rolls. The crew told me to come get my spot. Mr. SR3 said he would switch places with me when he had the dice. I had the dice for 6 rolls before sevening out. When the dice came around again to Mr.SR3, I moved to the end of the table where he was and let him have SR2 and SR3. He quickly sevened out. I went back to SR1 and prepared to shoot. To my left at SL2 was a guy in a white T-Shirt who started to yell and curse at me. He claimed that I had no right to just walk up to the table and get the dice. The crew and Mr. SR3 told him that I had been there all along. He continued to F me up and down. The crew told him to zipper it. BTW, he was drunk. I proceeded to roll for 20. I made 5 points and unbeknownst to me made the All Small bet. The table went wild, since many players were on it. The drunk guy said not a word. I had to leave shortly thereafter to go to dinner. Mr. SR3 gave me his name and asked if I would come back soon.

There always seems to be some a**hole at the table. Just glad you were able to refocus and continue to play and have a good roll. It is amazing that after they yell at you, insult you and you have a good roll, they shut up. Looks like you were using many of the GTC principles. You coming to Vegas?

Phil,
I looked for you when we were in AC this year but you were probably working hard as usual.
Goof Balls at the tables is always a pain. The only ways to try and avoid them is either by watching a game for a little while to observe the crew and players or scheduling your play to coincide with new tables opening. Mornings are usually better!
I like doing the latter since you can often get the dice and have a few hands before others join. When I'm in Vegas I do often watch for a short period of time to weed out the tables that have the worst offenders but also because the players in Vegas seem to come and go quicker than most destinations. One tip is while watching always note how many chips the players have in front of them since a short stacked player is more likely to leave quicker than someone that has a lot of chips. If the players in your spot have a good supply of chips move on to scout somewhere else.

I watched idiot number one who was at SR3. I did not watch the dice go all around the table until they got back to him. He bet at SR3 where his chips were railed. Who knew that he would claim the whole SR side? Anyway, he is now my friend. Ha,Ha, or so he says.

I was unable to make AC due to the exigencies of work. Keeping busy and trying to stay out of trouble.
