Every comeout 7 and there is a delay while everyone loads back up. While it isn't so bad on the first comeout (since there is no real rhythm to break), but in the middle of a decent roll its worse than waiting for hardways payouts. And if it hits, well, might as well run to the bathroom, it will be a while.
Thanks, I needed to get that off my chest.

You are right--it is really a waste for the advantage player. Since we use a controlled throw we throw less craps and yo bets than a random roller will. We do make an occasional small bet on these prop (read sucker) bets, but probably less that 1 to 3 %. It is the casino's football and they can make the rules. If we don't like the rules we can always to go another casino or head to the house and read a book.
One rule that we always try to follow---remember any prop, special, or extra bet usually had a much (sometimes a much, much, much) higher house advantage than the wager on the basic game.

Wherever the ATS is offered, I enjoy it in that it tracks the
numbers thrown so far, and the 2's, 3's and 12's are not wasted,
and it's a 'fun' bet, although not a good bet.
Over a period of eight months, and I don't visit the casinos
every week, I threw the ALL seven times. Me, 7x7.

Wow! Assuming you wager $1 across STA with a pay off of 35 to 1 on the ST and 175 to 1 on the ALL
Your win comes to $1,715.00. That allows you to play STA 571 times. That's a lot of fun! Enjoy!
Catch you later!

Yes, but I usually bet $5,
$1 each on the Small and Tall, and $3 on the All.
Only when I was throwing, just in case the ATS happens.
And I didn't always win this bonus bet, of course.
And remember sevens do pop up many times.
But the $5 fun bet was fun.
I did this also because other players with their heavy betting on
this bonus bet were winning more than I was on my winning throws.
Those who constantly did the bonus bet lost quite a bit, I must think,
since the ALL comes in only once and scarcely twice on one shift,
if it did come in at all.

My last trip I saw the all hit one time and the others twice in one shift .They also had bet 5.00 on each also one time or 2 times there were more then one players on it . If I remember right one time there was 3 players with 30.00 each on it and they hit the small .
Some times they let you bet it again and other times they just let the markers stay there till the 7 comes .
Good Rolling. :D :)
