So my question is this if a good bet is not all about the lowest house edge, what other factors do i need to consider to make it a good bet?
What is the difference between playing a machine with a very low house edge bet and a live game?
Are certain machines considered a better play than others even if the house edge is a little bigger, such as video poker versus keno?

I do not think a bet is good unless you have a worthwhile and playable edge.

So not2soon is sayng that craps and bj are good bets if you have the skills to overcome the house edge?
Now i have heard of the horsman playing pai gow for comps and time to kill,so if one of the machines has a lower house edge than pai gow, is it a better game to play for comps?
Please consider the exchange rate of comps in your answers.

Bman
Everything is relative i think, but both odds and decisions are important.
MY wife is a plot player and she is a finger pusher so she gets 120 decisions an hour, or more, i try
have her count to 1o or 15 and that makes a world of difference if you play for 2 hours.
If i stay away from slots i am fine, i like games with not the best odds like 4 card poker or texas holdem, but i wont play alone, i look for a full table because it cuts the number of decisions down signifcantly, and therefore my expected lose. My goal is to put as little as i can at risk when i am not playing craps.
I like bj with the speed count, however i find that 90% of the time when i get ahead then lose all my high bets with a count over 35, so to be honest i have gotten a little gun shy on that.
Just bet the bests bet you can
