BoneCrusher,
Derby week end can be a crazy week end in Vegas. You may find crowded tables making it impossible to get your spots and higher limits. It may be best to play at off hours, extremely early in the morning or around dinner time when folks are away from the tables.
Remember the casinos will always be there. Don't get wrapped up in the excitement to try your new talents so that you play too long or out of position. You will have plenty of opportunities to play in the next 20 - 50 years or so.
If you are at a crowded table and have to wait a long time to get to throw the dice you can be worn out before you even get a chance to shoot. Pace yourself and only play when you are rested and conditions are optimal for you.
